My name is Marites I. Del Remedios,I am a Filipina. I grew up in a big family composed of seven brothers and five sisters including myself, in short we were twelve in the family; I was the 11th child second to the youngest. I live in a big and nice neighborhood; the people in my hometown are very accommodating, peaceful and very loving. I had a happy childhood when I was just a kid. And I certainly learned how to relate to other children. Accustomed to being around primarily with kids because of my brothers and sisters siblings; I get along with them as they are my playmates because some of them are of the same age as I am. During my adolescent years, I excelled at most of my varied hobbies like drawing. I did quite well in school. Looking back, I’m sure I was quite smug, although I didn’t realize it at the time. Unfortunately, self-awareness wasn’t something I learned until many years later I’m driven, not to do great things for myself, but to spur my son on to even greater ones. I know how to relate to children in general, I know how to distinguish between the slightest little nuances of my son’s tired cry and his hungry cry. I know how to be a kid, but I’m hoping he’ll teach me more. I know despite a lifetime of often falling short of my own true potential, I’ve always held on to a quote by the writer James Baldwin: “The world is before you, and you need not take it or leave it as it was when you came I. And a verse from the bible that says: “Train up a child in the way he should go: when he is old, he will not depart from it.” That always sounded like something I wanted to do. I just never knew how. The moment my son entered the world, I knew I had achieved it. And my son thought me a lot of patience and love for a child unconditionally and he is now 8years and in grade 3 and he is good in mathematics and science. My son means a lot to me and my family; I want to give him/them the best that I could give by striving so hard. I wanted you to know that having a son is quite an experience to show you and this made me to look forward to give the best that I can be for my only child and my family, and I know whatever it is that you require of for being a good nanny for your child is well best describe of me. I am confident with the range of skills I possess will enable me to blend into your family culture. Furthermore, I am self- motivated, a hard working person, able to work well under pressure, creative, pleasant and convenient in dealing with people since I meet a lot of people every day. I am proud to say that my abilities in solving problem using my initiative, creativity and persistence helps me to accomplish every task that have been given to me, and always maintain integrity and loyalty. With the knowledge that I have possess will enable me to teach your child with their homework at school like what I am doing with my 8 year old son, he excel in math and science after I have done my work in the office, I see to it that I always have time to teach him their lesson eveyday. I can cook good food and I know a little of baking because my son is my number one critic when it comes to preparation of good meals every day. Filipino's are well known for their traits as honest and trustworthy and kind.
