Nanny Job in Barrie, Ontario

Nanny & Home Assistant Position located just outside Barrie, ON, in Midhurst: searching for a long term, caring, responsible & mature nanny/home helper to our 3 children & large home. One child is in grade 1 full time aged 6, second child is junior kindergarten full time aged 4, and third child may be in Montessori this year part time & at home aged 3. Very healthy and active children. We are an extremely busy family & require flexibility, we work excessive hours during the week through our employments. You must love children & be trustworthy, punctual, be well presented, good values, and have a positive attitude at all times. Have not decided fully on a live in or live out Nanny, will determine on the applicant. Live in, all details can be worked out with applicant – home is quite large so lots of room. If live out, approximate daily work schedule will vary, but generally daily schedule Monday to Friday; subject to change as needs arise, and possibilities of later in the evenings depending on work hours. Weekends & holidays are generally not required. There may be however occasional weekends or holidays where we need the additional help. Smoking is not permitted anywhere around our home or children. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Structuring activities/educational play for the children. Teaching & guiding age appropriate activities when they are home, playing outside etc. Light/Medium meal prep, as needed (preparing vegetables, turning on roast in oven etc). Cooking abilities is a large asset Washing, folding and putting away laundry Dishes, daily clean up – home always to be in order Housekeeping – daily schedule to keep each section of the home clean, garbage, recycling etc. Attending family vacations, to assist with the children (all-expense paid for you) Perhaps driving and picking up at school or Montessori. Perhaps grocery or wal mart type pick ups Miscellaneous duties as requested/required, for example perhaps weeding the flower beds while the children play outside. Attitude towards additional duties must be accepted well fashioned. Generally a person always keeping busy while working in our home, is the ideal candidate Additional items: Solid references who can be contacted. Additional items may be required to verify your character due to the nature of being in our home with our children such as police checks. Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills. French speaking (bilingual) is a very strong asset to have. You must provide a loving, caring and upbeat environment for the kids and really want to work with them helping them grow to young adults. Salary is negotiable paid based on experience; annual bonuses based on work ethics will be provided, and can lead to significant increase in pay - we are very generous for someone hard working & caring.
