Nanny in Burlington, Ontario

Hi there, My name is Carly and I am 22 years old. I live in Waterdown but have a vehicle to travel with a G class license. I have many years of experience babysitting for neighbourhood kids, as well as experience as a live-in nanny for a period of 6 months, where I travelled to Australia to nanny for two amazing kids, aged 1.5 and 5. I was the primary caregiver for both children, with most of my time being spent with the 1.5 year old while the other child was attending school. The following is a letter written by my host-mom (the mother of the children): "I cannot speak highly enough of Carly Williams. We live in Perth, Australia and Carly was our au pair for six months from January–June 2013, caring daily for our two children when they were two and five years of age. If I had to describe Carly in a few words, I would choose: caring, trustworthy, fun and switched on. She was a tremendous help in the household and had good skills in light housekeeping (beyond picking up after children), driving children to and from school/activities, preparing meals for children and family, grocery shopping, child and parent’s laundry, etc. Carly was my household angel and together we worked as one to make sure the kids and household were happy and in fine working order at all times. I really miss her! Carly was a very friendly and sensitive person when it came to dealing with our children, to put it in short, they loved and adored her! For our son Oliver, Carly was a wonderful buddy when it came to playing football or challenging him to a scooter race at the playground. For our daughter Ella, Carly was always up for taking her to new places and seeing new sights – having new adventures – all the while conscious of keeping her to her daily routines of food and sleep. Our kids can be full on adventurous at times and Carly’s energy and patience seemed limitless! Carly fitted into our family way of life from day one with ease. She was interested in being a part of the family while respecting our privacy at the same time. She was also conscious that she was in a new country and that she should make the most of her Aussie travel adventures so easily made new friends. I would say Carly is a very socially confident and independent, smart young woman who was clearly raised in a great nurturing family. I can strongly recommend Carly for any future jobs she chooses to undertake. We have had several au-pairs over the last years and Carly was definitely one of the best. I wish Carly all the best for her future – it will be a bright one!"
