Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Hi! I am looking for Part Time/Full Time position starting the first week of September 2016. Would ideally like between 20-40 hours a week. My name is Chanel Ewaniuk and I have been a nanny for quite some time. I have worked with a couple of families over the past years and have developed great relationships with these children and their families as well. Nannying is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever taken on. I am well aware that nanny requires you to be completely responsible for someone else's life and this is something I take very seriously. With that being said, I also love getting to know the children and adhering to their specific needs and personalities, and watching them grow into unique individuals. Finding the right family is extremely important to me, as I'm sure finding the right nanny is for you and your family. I am a very energetic and enthusiastic person, who has no problem being hands on and playing in the dirt if need be. I will take the time to understand your unique parenting styles and follow through with what you have set out and highlighted as important learning/training techniques. I have done a vast number of things for families from changing dirty diapers, daycare/school drop off and pick up, cooking, taking the children to parks and splash pads, working on homework, reading books, potty training and MUCH more! I am also super organized and am happy to accommodate any necessary scheduling that arises. I would say that my strongest qualities in terms of nannying are that I am very patient, observant and loving. Along with all my nannying experience, I have also been a camp counsellor, a babysitter, an assistant coach (for soccer and dance). I am also a U of T graduate as of this year and am specifically looking to nanny in the city as I am moving to Toronto come the end of August. In my most recent nanny position I nannied a little 3 year old boy with autism. It was a truly rewarding time in my life, as I got to watch his development unfold first hand. I took him to his therapies, and participated in therapy sessions as well, in order to execute learning strategies and techniques in the home. Him and I worked hard together as a team, and focused heavily on his language development and play skills. He was one of the hardest working little boys I have ever met and at times he truly tested my patience, but all in all we formed an incredible bond. All of my nannying experiences with children and their families have been positive ones, and I have made numerous memories with these children that I treasure dearly. From my personal experience with families communication is key. I love sending updates to parents from pictures to videos and can completely appreciate wanting to be in the know when it comes to your child and their safety and happiness. I can guarantee this rapport as this is something I have maintained with all the families I have worked for in the past. Pleas contact me for any further information and am happy to make myself available for a meet and greet! Look forward to hearing from you. Chanel
