Nanny in St. Thomas, Ontario

I am a Child and Youth Worker/mom to a 12 year old boy. I believe in attachment based parenting/childcare. I have 20 years experience with children and youth and approximately 12 years direct nanny experience. I am extremely organized, outgoing, friendly and responsible. I am passionate about car seat safety and have a vehicle in order to participate in play groups/visits and run errands. I can provide excellent references and would love to discuss a potential fit with your family. For the past 2 summers (and periodically within the school years) have worked with a family with 2 children - ages 7 and 13. The teenager has special needs, is non verbal and and requires a feeding tube. I had a delightful experience with an infant - - My little friend and I met when he was 5 weeks old. At 18 months his parents decided they'd like him to experience care outside the home and he was off to Daycare! Prior to that I was with a family for 6 years! My own super smart and sensitive son is newly 12 years old. He's in grade 7!! I am solely responsible for him and, therefore, am looking for a nanny position that is flexible in allowing me to bring him along (when not in school) and also to pick him up from school (should the Nanny position go past 3:30 pm). I realize that a family who will welcome this situation is super rare and I appreciate the accommodations. My last two positions have invited my son into their homes, with loving hearts, and both positions were very successful.
