Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

Start date: April 6, 2015 Salary: Live-out caregiver: $15/hour (gross, i.e., before taxes are deducted). Live-in caregiver: $11/hour (gross, i.e., before taxes are deducted). Hours: Mon-Thurs: 10:00am - 6:00pm Friday: 9:30am - 5:30pm Total hours per week: 40 For a live-in caregiver, additional hours per week (at regular pay) can be offered. Some overtime may be requested from time to time in the evenings. Our home is close to City transit and the nanny is not expected to drive the children. We are looking for an experienced nanny who will provide childcare primarily for two children ages 6 and 8 and some supervision of our eldest child aged 12. Daily tasks include: meeting children at the bus stop; preparing lunch for 6-year old; preparing dinner for all children; preparing lunchboxes for older two children; housekeeping; laundry; and arranging playdates (loads of children in the neighbourhood within walking distance); ensuring children bathed/showered. We seek someone who is safety-oriented and can be assertive with the children as required to ensure they are always safe and supervised. Meal preparation is required and ideally we will hire someone who enjoys cooking. Our neighbourhood is very family friendly and there are many homes with nannies and children. We have a pet rabbit that lives in a cage. If nanny is uncomfortable with pets, she could have no contact with the pet. No other pets on site. Salary is somewhat negotiable depending on years of experience and skill set. References are required prior to hiring.
