My name is Ciera and I'm here because I love caring for and hanging out with kids. When I was a kid I loved reading, writing, science, and board games, and I was constantly asking questions. I have to say, not a lot has changed. I got married in August and I plan to spend the next year or two saving money while my husband finishes his carpentry apprenticeship. I plan to return to school for a Social Work diploma after that. I'm a decent cook (around my house it's usually vegan but I don't mind cooking meat either) and I don't mind doing housework. I have minor experience with babies and more experience with toddlers and older kids. In my spare time I enjoy poetry and fiction, so I will be sure to teach your kids a lot of funny new words (only the good kind of words, of course!) I really love listening to kids talk about what they're passionate about, and asking them questions. It's really important to me to treat kids (and all people) with total respect, and to encourage them to express their thoughts and feelings in healthy and creative ways. I know I will be consistently helpful, flexible, and devoted to the wellbeing of whichever family chooses me to be their part- or full-time live-out nanny.
