Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are starting our search for a nanny share for my 7 month old girl named Ella (we live in Lynn Valley in North Vancouver) and my friends soon to be 1 year old girl named Charlee (they live in East Vancouver at Hastings Sunrise). The girls will be 11 and 16 months in September. There are enough things to do in our neighbourhoods that a nanny who doesn't drive, but takes transit, will be happy with. We can help with some driving from one house to the other as well. We are looking for 5 days a week, beginning in September, from approximately 7:30am to 4:30pm. We are open to holidays in the summer and Christmas, as one of us is a teacher. Some must haves are: previous childcare experience, infant first aid & CPR, patience, and a sense of humour. Our families are pretty relaxed and we value a nanny who will give the girls an opportunity to get outdoors, visit the community centre activities, read story books, engage in imaginary play and simply develop girls with empathy, kindness and confidence. We would be grateful for some extra hands to do light housework (tidy up, throw dishes in the dish washer, possibly fold laundry) if there is time in the day. I hope the girls also learn to tidy up their toys, too. In fact, lets get them learning to vacuum (haha). A bit about us: We are loving, easy going parents. Ella is a cutie pie, currently a jolly jumping professional, just started crawling and developing her culinary tastes. She is patient and easy going like her dad and I. We have a lovely 10 year old Boston Terrier named Elwood, who is as lazy as Nichole & Brian’s dog and a gentle soul. Jared & I both work in Vancouver so come over the bridge for work. This makes our set up easy for a nanny share on either side. Brian and Nichole both have a good sense of humour and Charlee is a serious goofball who likes to dance. They are both from Ontario with family far away. They have a 13 year old dog named Sanuk, who sleeps most of the time and would love to join on small walks to the park, otherwise she is happy to have the peace and quiet at home, especially on cold or rainy days.
