Nanny Job in Mississauga, Ontario

We are looking for an full-time nanny. This is a long-term position. We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny to care for our four young children a six-year-old girl, a three-year-old boy, and 12-month-old twins. We are located in Mineola East, near the intersection of Cawthra and Atwater. A minimum of three years experience in child care is required as a nanny, in a daycare, or au pair work. You must love children and be reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and energetic. You will be required to work full-time on weekdays up to 45 hours per week, with occasional evenings/weekends for which you will be paid overtime. We are a non-smoking household and only non-smokers will be considered. Nanny Duties and Responsibilities Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children Supervise and participate in the childrens activities Plan and prepare meals and bottles and feed the children Dress the children Place the children down for naps Change diapers Potty train the children Perform light housework related to child care, including cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, washing bottles, and loading, running, and emptying the dishwasher Teach the children acceptable social behaviour Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors. Daily outdoor activities with the children Daily physical activities with the children Plan and lead educational activities, including reading/writing, arts and crafts, games etc. Transport the children to and from school and other activities/programs during the day, either by car, walking, or public transportation Administer medicine to the children; seek medical attention if necessary in the case of illness or injury Supervise homework and assist if needed Meet with the parents regularly to reflect on and plan for the childrens activities and development Nanny Requirements and Qualifications Certification in infant and child first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Fluent in spoken and written English Understanding of child psychology and stages of child development Prior experience in childcare settings (day care centre, nursery, babysitting, nanny) Post-secondary certificate and/or some college education preferred Drivers licence preferred Background check Pay will be based on qualifications and experience.
