My name is Lindsay Shotbolt. I am 22 years old and I am graduating from Carleton University in the spring of 2017. I will be graduating with honours in Communication Studies. I moved to Ottawa in 2012 and up until this year, I received a scholarship opportunity and have played on the women’s basketball team at Carleton University as a varsity athlete for 4 years. I was recently accepted to the York University Faculty of Education program and will be attending the program in the Fall of 2017 to continue my academic endeavours. I have many years of experience working with children from the ages of 4-17. I have always enjoyed working with youth, but preferably with children from ages 0-12. I would bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to work everyday, as my goal would be to provide children with a fun, safe, rewarding and memorable experience. I believe I have well-developed interpersonal skills from my years of working with children, and have established relationships with many families over my years of supervising summer camps. I believe that this position requires an energetic, approachable and caring person who has the ability to make everyday special for children.
