Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Greetings, I’m Emmanuela Nazaire, I was born and raised in Haiti, been living in Canada for 13 years. I currently live with my parents, my brother and sister in Ottawa, Ontario. My passions include learning languages, working out, travelling, and reading motivational and educational books. I currently speak, write and read three languages—Haitian Creole, French and English and in the midst of learning two more languages which are Spanish and Sign language. I have recently travelled to Guinea, Africa for a mission trip. It was one of the most beautiful and adventurous experience in my life. In Africa, I worked with a school children and youth. I have travelled to Florida, New York, and Dominican Republic for mission trips and leisure. My special interests include translation, working in a foreign country, and working with children. I started working with children at the age of 12 and 13 years later I still love doing it. I have been working with children for 5 years. I have worked in various daycares throughout Ottawa to improve my skills and learn new strategies. I have worked with infants up to school age. Most of my childcare experience have been in the daycare field. I have casually babysat for family and friends, but not professionally. However, recently, I have been doing babysitting for two months with Nannies on Call and it has been a pleasure wiring with various families. I also worked in the hospital field for 2 years as an elderly companionship. My time at the hospital taught be to be open, patient and to be more caring because I was working with dementia patients. From this experience, I have learned not to take life for granted and live it fully. The family that I want to work with is, a caring, open to learn new skills, kind, patient and understanding family. I want to grow and learn with the family as I work with them. The ideal family have to invest in their children lives, encourage them and walk beside them in their growth journey. I want to create suitable schedule and activities for the children that will improve their capacity at school, motor and fine skills, and becoming the person they meant to be. I love creating fun and silly activities, have dance party and learning activities that challenges and improve the brain. I am an asset for your family because I have been in the field for a long time and knowledgable of many things. I am caring, loving, understanding, fun, athletic, teachable, good listener, and approachable. One of the reason I love working with children is their ability to learn and be creative. Children bring creativity out of me and teach me lots of lessons about life. In my nanny bag, I have all type of tools to make a children imagination comes to life. Let me help you help your children grow. In the future, I want to open my own gym to help low income family, be a translator for the deaf community and help international students find affordable housing.
