Employer’s name: Fawn LaBrie and Marc LaBrie Employer Address: 9694 Lakeshore Rd, Port Alberni BC, V9Y 8Z3 Location of work: Same as Above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Take children to and from school and to appointments • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants • Prepare infants and children for rest periods • Tend to emotional well-being of children • Supervise and care for children • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Organize activities such as games and outings for children • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children • Help children with homework • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens • Shop for food and household supplies • Care for children when sick, give medication and monitor fever • Care for pets Children's ages: 5 year-old child and a toddler Work Setting: Private Home Requirements: - Education: Completion of high school - Experience: Experience as a nanny or caregiver is an asset - Valid CPR certification is an asset - Valid driver’s license class 5 is required – This is mandatory because there is no public transit where we live Salary: $11.10 to 12.00 Hourly, for 44.00 Hours per week Benefits: We provide a mobile phone and usage plan. Important Information: Work schedule consists of the following shifts: Shift 1: 6am to 2pm. Shift 2: 5pm to 12am and Shift 3: 8am to 12pm & 6pm to 10pm. Flexibility on schedule is required due to work schedule of the parents with global business. Weekend work may be required. 2 days off per week that will vary as per shift schedule. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
