Position Type: Full Time Desired Start Date: As soon as possible Work Schedule: Shift work, early morning, day, evening, weekend, and night time hours. Work setting: · Employer's home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment · Non-smoker Position Description Young professional mother looking for an experienced nanny to work long term in family’s home, responsible for all duties related to the caring of a 13 months old baby. The nanny will serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to the child, and must be flexible to work changing day and night time shifts (including long hour shifts). Responsibilities • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, • Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, • Tend to emotional well-being of children, • Supervise and care for children, • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children . Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents Qualifications and requirements · 7 months -1 years of nanny experience or experience working with children below 3 years of age · Ability to train/teach children at various ages; . Ability to speak, understand and read simple French texts/conversations · High school graduate · First aid/CPR certificate or be willing to start training within first two months upon hire ( employer paid course on condition of successful completion of course) · Criminal check record and Verifiable references. · Reliable, honest, and flexible to work day and night time shifts · Physical ability to care for baby · Excellent oral communication, judgment, initiative, reliability, and Flexibility. Working hours/Compensation: · 35-40 hours/week · $11.40-$1.../hour . 2 weeks paid vacation
