Hey everyone! I'm a nanny with an early childhood education background. A little about me: I have a passion for the outdoors and self-education. Education is an important component in all of my planned activities. In school, I studied how to help children develop in 5 major areas: *Cognitively/Critical thinking *Creatively *Physically *Emotionally *Early literacy I have the following qualifications: *Child Development Worker Assistant *Alberta Services Intervention Check *Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) *First Aid in Child Care with Level C CPR *Vehicle and Alberta drivers license I have an immense amount of experience working with children of all ages, and some experience with developmental disabilities. My philosophy on education and childcare: I believe human beings (especially little ones) learn through observation and hands-on experiences. Most of us can agree we learn best by doing it ourselves which allows children the chance to become independent. I believe the best way to teach children is through play, positive child-caregiver interaction, and positive experiences as these are proven ways to help increase development in young children.
