Hello. I am Kathrine Marginet and I love working with children. I have been in the Special Needs Educational Assistant program at MacEwan for over a year and I am expected to graduate late April. That means that you will have a nanny or babysitter who is experienced working with children who have special needs. I can help your children with math homework, spelling homework, and social studies homework. I can help them in whatever area of school they need help in. I have experience working as a volunteer EA at Bannerman school, volunteering at the St. Teresa of Calcutta After School Program, and doing practicum there. Do you have babies? I know I can help take care of them, diaper them, and feed them, and do work around the house. I have experience babysitting my little nephew as a baby. I also have experience preparing food in my job at Rexall place. I also have a Stepson and a niece of my own and I ensure you that I will take care of your children as I would these two. I love reading to children and I love children's books. Children will love to read all sorts of books with me weather it be Robert Munch, Dr. Seuss, or Shel Silverstein. I will be sure to pay close attention to your children to ensure that I pick a book that they are interested in. If they are interested in trucks I will look for a children's book that talks about trucks. If they are interested in animals I will find a book about animals. If they are interested in cartoons I will pick up a book that teaches them how to draw cartoons. Your children will also have fun playing arts and crafts with me as I have taken ARTE 102 at MacEwan University and know a lot about art. I can teach them how to make puppets, how to mix colours, and how to draw comics. I also took DRMA 149 at MacEwan university so I can play a lot of improv games with them as I know a lot about acting. My Behavioural Supports class will allow me to discipline the children and provide positive reinforcements for them. I will be sure to be consistent in using the behavioural management system that works best for them. I have experience working with children who have autism, children with anxiety, children with ADHD, and children who have English as their second language. If you are looking for a nanny or babysitter who is patient, fun, and flexible you have found the right person. Children will be encouraged to be physically active. I have experience playing soccer, basketball, gymnastics, and dance with children. I recognize that every child is different and I will be sure to meet the individual needs of your child. I also worked in a community garden for a while so I will be able to help with your gardening. Do you have a dog, a bird, a cat, a fish or a pet beetle? I've taken care of all these animals.
