My name is shyann, I am a university student looking to take some time off from school this year and work with a family. I love working with kids I view them to be the coolest people in tis world. They are funny and innocent and a light. My goal in life is to become a social worker so that i will never stop protecting and serving children. All kids deserve to be treasured. I am looking for this summer for now but during the year we can discuss further in person. Since i was 12 I have been involved in various child care positions. Majority of my experience is volunteer. I have worked within a single parents community building relationships with children from the ages 9 or 12 for 5 years, creating activities delegating roles to leaders and handling any conflict. I worked with a family who adopted two children from Haiti, one that had anger issues and a learning disability for a number of years. I have worked within a home with foster children ranging from 4 to 18 with various different types of mental disabilities, ADHA, FASD, ADD and learning disabilities for 7 years. I worked in a camp that ranged from the ages 5 to 17 year olds ( depended on the week) and loved working with all ages. This also meant working with a group of 7 tasks included feeding the children assisting in hygiene care, showers, bathroom breaks, appropriate dressing for the activity and weather and creating a healthy and happy relationship with each child. I have a lot of fun with kids, i enjoy being creative and doing fun activities within/out of the home and always want to create a safe environment for them. I have my class 5 drivers licence and police and intervention check
