My name is Sheri. I am an active, friendly, and approachable person. I have always wanted a job that helps and teaches others, but also something that keeps me active. I have always had a love for children; being able to teach them and see them grow. I promote a healthy, and active lifestyle. I have been an active person my whole life playing just about every sport out there. I believe in self expression and uniqueness, I danced for 12 years, and fell in love with the way something can express so much. I encourage children to express themselves productively, and appropriately. I also used drawing and music as a way of expression which brought my love of doing crafts with the children I work. It allows them to make something that is an expression of themselves, even though you may have no idea what it is. I love to teach. Whether it be motor skills; seeing them make their first basket, or hit their first ball, School work; watching them learn new words, and doing math, or simple daily tasks; learning to use their manners, or tie their shoes. *cared for multiple children with gaps in age, still providing age appropriate activities for both *I ran Newborn-School age programs with the YMCA, creating a fun and safe learning environment for all children. I managed daily routine, and evening routines with good organization. I also ran teaching programs, like At home Safety, and fitness classes *Then I moved to two different daycare locations where I worked with children infant-preschool, mostly running a toddler-preschool classroom. *I am now currently working for the TVDSB as a supply RECE in the kindergarten classrooms.
