Nanny Job in Edmonton, Alberta

We are a South Edmonton family looking for a nanny for full or part time hours. Most days will be 8-4 but we prefer some flexibility. My husband’s job changes daily so each week may look differently. We have a beautiful 4 year old daughter and 16 month old boy twins and they’re the cutest, sweetest, funniest kids you’ll ever meet ;) We are looking for someone with good work ethic, honest, creative, enjoys children, enjoys hobbies and has goals, likes to laugh and have fun! We follow an attachment parenting model, we like to have fun, have dance parties, we encourage creativity and imaginative play and limit screen time. A little about us! We’re a pet-free, smoke-free home. I’m a stay-at-home mom, and my husband works some of the time from home. Childcare will consist of; crafts and games with the toddler. Setting up games/projects for her. Taking her outside weather permitting. Helping/ guiding her to pick up after herself. Changing diapers for babies, cleaning them up after mealtimes. Getting them down for naps once a day. You will also help teach family values and proper development in all skills (speech and language, physical, social and emotional and cognitive). Light housekeeping is required. Some of the days it's just the babies and other days it will be all 3 kids. Most days I will be home managing the house and helping with child care so your primary duty will be playing with and feeding the kids. If FT hours are wanted, a second family is also in need of help. About the optional family #2: Also a family with a 4yo and twin 16 month olds, living on the south side. I am a freelance musician and mostly need childcare during the times and days that I am teaching and practicing (in the house) or at rehearsals (out of the house). These are daytime appointments. My partner is away from home working from 7:30am until 5:30pm on weekdays. Duties are as outlined above for babies and 4 yo (though my boy prefers to play by himself as long as there is a caregiver within earshot). We also have a very friendly and lovable cat. This is an ongoing position. We are hoping our new nanny will be able to work the occasional evening, putting the kids to bed. Our current nanny has been an amazing part of the family and is leaving us to have a baby. Drivers licence strongly required. Please no applicants requesting to bring other children. First aid, CPR, references and background check required.
