Nanny in Montreal, Quebec

My name is Emily and I'm studying Creative Writing and Political Science at Concordia University. I'm from Vancouver, but moved to Montreal three-years ago for school. Throughout high school I worked as a nanny and French language tutor. I regularly looked after children between the ages of one and 11, and tutored children who were in elementary school. I provided assistance with reading, writing, speaking in French, and therefore would consider myself to be mostly-fluent in French. I have also coached children's sports, namely ultimate frisbee and soccer. I pride myself in my ability to come up with creative and original activities for children to engage in, that are both fun and stimulating. Having done an outdoor education program in high school, I believe that being outside and physically active is one of the most important things for children, as well as adults, to have throughout their lives. I'm an excellent cook who loves food and loves preparing food for people, regardless of their age. I am well-versed in all kinds of diets and have the ability to cook in accordance with various dietary restrictions. I’m comfortable with a wide-range of household tasks, and also feel at ease taking children through the city to get to parks, pools, museums etc. I’m currently located in the Plateau, but by no means feel the need to stay within the neighbourhood.
