While in University at Lakeland College I was an After School Care Leader co-responsible for 30 students, and solely responsible for up to 15 students at a time ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 7. I Ensured students were all signed in and picked up by the correct caregiver. Also, I was a Literacy Summer camp co-leader, which geared around creating engaging literacy activities for students ranging from grades 3-6. Now I am a full time Grade 6 teacher on a continual contract. I currently have 27 students in my class room who I am responsible for. This role has deepened my understanding of child management. It has also deepened my love for all varieties of professions that have the opportunity to work with children of all ages.
