Nanny in Nepean, Ontario

Hello! I’m a 23-year-old mother who is looking to get back into childcare. I have my own precious toddler (2 1/2 years old) with who I love to do crafts and explore many gross and fine motor activities. She does have full-time childcare that she loves attending so I am not looking for a family who will accommodate her coming with me. I have 2 years of experience in a licensed daycare with children of all ages. My most experience is with the toddler age group (18 months to 2 1/2 years old) since I spent a year strictly working in a toddler classroom. I also spent 4 months in an infant classroom (0 months-18 months) and 6 months in a preschool classroom (2 1/2 years old - 5 years old). I also casually babysat for many families from the time I was around 14 years old till I was 18 years old. If that wasn’t enough experience to peak your interest you’ll be pleased to know I also was a live-in nanny for my sister when she had her 2 youngest children who are only 10 months apart. I nannied for her family for 3 1/2 years from the time her children were newborns to 3 years old (and almost 4 years old for the older child). I am also comfortable with pets and caring for them as well as the children. I am a mother myself as I stated earlier so you also don’t have to worry about ever coming home to a mess since I am already programmed to tidy as we play as well as being comfortable cooking meals. I have a full g license with a clean driving record as well as a reliable vehicle so distance is no issue. I do not currently have an up-to-date first-aid certificate or vulnerable sector check but I am willing to obtain it if needed it just may take a little longer depending on covid restrictions at the time. I do have underlying health conditions (lung issues) so I am looking for families that are comfortable doing most of the hiring process via zoom or other online formats to keep myself safe. I am comfortable doing a trial day to ensure it is a proper match I just ask that families are extremely upfront if they have any symptoms that arise before that trial run as I cannot take any chances.
