Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

I am a 22 year old university student working to get my Bachelor of Education to teach elementary :) I go to school full time and am currently in my final practicum - teaching grade 3. I will be graduating this spring and I am hoping to nanny for a while before securing a teaching job! I love kids and I would love to spend my Spring getting to know an awesome family. I am CPR certified and have been for 5 years straight. I am actually registered to re-certified mid March, so I am very qualified in that area. I also have my own vehicle and a clean driving record. As for my experience, I have grown up babysitting for neighbours and younger kids in my area and that's what initially interested me in working with children. I went into the education program at Mount Royal University to follow my passion, and am just finishing up my degree to teach elementary! My practicum placements through school has given me a ton of great experience with school aged children. So far I have taught grades 1, 2/3, 3, 5 and 6. I also volunteered with summer camps in the past at the preschool age, and I loved my time there playing and engaging with the kids. I have nannied for several amazing families including - a family with 3 and 5 year old girls, a family with twin one year old boys, and most recently a longer position with a family with a one year old girl (who was about 7 months old when I met her). I hope to find a family, who I can start with mid-April. I would love a family that I get to know well, to support them and their children during the hours that they are at work - as I understand how hard it can be to find someone to trust with your most precious gift.
