What makes me stand out? Mostly my culinary background, I am very fond of cooking and baking, all different styles. I don't mind taking care of housekeeping duties as well, provided they don't take away from caring for the children. I very much enjoy working with kids, I feel that I am very responsible and would be a great caretaker for your household. I have experience caring for children between the ages of 4-12 years of age, as many as 5 children at a time, including children with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Both of my parents worked as live-in caretakers at Ayton Lodge in Ayton, Ontario, where I was raised in an environment that focused on caring for mentally challenged adults, from a young age (2 years old) I was brought up in this environment and learned quite a bit about care-taking, whether it be preparing meals, recreational activities, gardening, and even bathing individuals that are unable to complete these tasks on their own. Since the age of 14, I continued to work as a babysitter throughout high school, and I have also worked extensively as a chef in many different types of restaurants, and I have taken courses on food nutrition, and macrobiotic cooking. I am very aware of food safety and healthy eating practices, and I enjoy cooking for others very much. Throughout school I also tutored students, particularly in math, music and English, a skill that I have applied to children that I have cared for as well. I have also worked in many households where road hockey is particularly important, something I enjoy very much as well.
