Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for a mother's helper, someone to help us with childcare and homecare, someone who can be nanny and housekeeper at the same time, and know when to call on us (we both work from home so we'll be close by much of the time) and when to handle things herself (or himself). Day to day, you will be responsible for taking care of our three-month-old (how are you with young babies?), plus light housekeeping (laundry, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, etc), plus preparing snacks and dinner. It's a tall order so you'll be someone really excellent at multi-tasking and managing time. (If you can soothe a crying baby on your hip while running a vacuum or chopping carrots, we will love you!) You don't need to be a chef but if you can whip up a casserole and you enjoy basic cooking as much as caring for children, our family will be a great fit for you. We're looking for someone who can plan meals for the week, buy the groceries (with our money, of course) and then leave something delicious in the oven before leaving each day. Qualities we love: *patience *initiative (we won't have time to tell you what needs doing and what to do next so you'll be great at sorting that out for yourself and just quickly making yourself right at home) *attention to detail (you can tell when the baby is tired because you notice that first yawn) *punctual (it's super important to us that we can rely on you to be here when expected) We can be flexible with hours and salary for the right person.
