Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are an English family new to Calgary seeking a Nanny for our daughter (4yrs) and our son (2.5 yrs). I am looking for a job so ideally the Nanny would be able to start for a few weeks working one day per week and then increase when i have found my job to 2-3 days per week. If this is not possible we can negotiate about this. Our daughter is at pre school 3 times a week so the Nanny would need to be able to get her to and from pre school if she worked on those days. We live a 5 minute drive away or a 15/20 minute walk (she would need to take my son as well). Our son would start pre school in October. Our children are active and have lots of energy! they enjoy singing, dancing, arts and craft, dressing up, playing babies, lego, train tracks, the park, running etc. They sometimes play independently together but they enjoy interacting with adults a lot too. I try to take them out to activities when possible. hey are allowed to watch some TV for down time if they are tired in the afternoon or when i prepare meals etc. We are a loving and close family and expect good behaviour from our children (especially manners; please and thank you, table manners etc). We do not use threats or physical chastisement and avoid shouting when possible. We use methods of discipline such as 'the naughty step' or in some cases may send the children to their room for a few minutes if they are naughty. We would like a nanny who has a genuine love of children, of playing with children and interacting with children. Experience with children is important, but enthusiasm is equally important. We would also like a nanny who can, as far as they are aware, commit to the children for a long period (for example over a year at least), so that the children do not have to keep making new relationships with different carers as they can be shy with new people.
