Nanny Job in Kanata, Ontario

We are looking for a full-time nanny/housekeeper/parent\'s helper, Kanata Bridlewood, live in or out Term of employment: 2-year term, full time, start ASAP Location: Kanata, Bridlewood neighborhood, Old Richmond at Stonehaven, bus routes 66 and 168 Hours: 30-37.5 hr per week (must be available for 3-9 pm, Monday to Friday) Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment. Age of children: 12 and newborn LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) sponsorship possible. Overview We currently have a 12 years old child and are expecting a new baby in January 2016. After the baby is born, the mother will stay at home for a year. The mother needs a helper for 2 years - during her pregnancy, over the one year she stays at home, and after she returns to work and baby goes to childcare. We are looking for a helper who is: - Good at cooking and working with a 12 years old child - Able to undertake other household chores and assist in infant care Main duties Optional morning shift (5:30 – 7:30 am): - Make lunches - Get the child ready for school, get up at 6:30 am and take school bus at 7:00 am Required afternoon and evening shift (3-9 pm) - Meet the child at school bus at 3 pm - Make after school snack - Supervise the child to develop self-regulation – the child does not need academic tutoring, but needs reminders to stay organized, be on track of the tasks, refrain from over playing video games, and pay attention to safety when playing outside - Prepare dinner for the family, ready at 5:30 pm - Do dishes, laundry, vacuum, light yard work, and other household chores - Prepare additional meal for the child, ready at 8:30 pm - Assist in infant care Employment requirements - Must be available for 3-9 pm on weekdays - Criminal record check - Non smoker - Completion of secondary school - Skills in meal preparation is required; experience in or ability to learn Northern Chinese cooking is an asset. - Child care training/experience is an asset. - Household management training/experience is an asset. - First aid certification / CPR training is an asset.
