My earliest work experience was with young children, and though my career lead me towards working with older youth, I have always wanted to return to this age range. I connected quickly with young children, and absolutely love teaching them. I am a mother of two and believe children require a safe, nurturing environment. I enjoy baking, spending time outside and simple playing on the floor with children. I regularly attend community base programs such as Early Years programs with my children as I feel it is a benefit for a child’s social development. My work history consists of 17 years of progressive experience in the Mental Health field. For the past six years I have designed and implemented programming for youth and parents with emotional difficulties, and know that I would excel at creating programs for younger children.
