To begin, I am elderly, as my profile shows, I have much experience with children of all ages. I will like to come to know the family as part of being a nanny. That is all important. As a GP, well north of Vancouver, I was into caring. That is basic, nanny, doctor, nurse. So often caring does not happen. Newborn: I was awhile, observing in the Neo-natal ICU (Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal). During Practice, I did a number of home deliveries (the nearest hospital was at some distance. I have ticked off areas such as severe allergy, diabetes and disability. Emergencies: I am a retired MD, yet I have handled much due to my training, including CPR on children. I am a very social person, even a small baby responds to a person being warm or cold. Live in Vancouver close to Fraser/Broadway. People learn from birth on and anyone can teach, it does not need a certificate. Play: all important and fun too. Poetry: I have been writing and staging poems for many years. Singing: I am a Choir member; our concert is in one week. Children love to sing. Our youngest member is 8, a lot of us are retired. My background: I am a retired MD and teacher, and I have much direct experience with children. In addition, I was effectively a single Dad; my wife pursued her teaching career and I brought up the children during daytime, from the ages of several months to 8. In my country General Practice, there were a very wide array of children, from various cultures. In addition to my Practice, I did a considerable amount of Health Education with public school children.
