Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are a family with a 5 yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy. Our girl is in school now, so the care would be for our boy and occasionally both kids if necessary. We are looking for care for 6 hours on Thursda ys and on call babysitting. It could be more hours depending on the needs for the week/month. The candidate should be able to work the occasional evening and/or weekend and do some housekeeping. An added bonus would be cooking meals for the family if the opportunity presents itself. We are a fun-loving family who like to be outside, do art projects, dance, sing and encourage learning and curiosity. We are strict with our rules and need the candidate to follow our recommendations for the kids and be willing to stay firm, yet calm and loving, making things fun, while being supportive and empathetic on what's right. We are an affectionate family with our kids and work through issues by talking and patiently try to help our children understand 'why'. We would like applicants who are 'bondable' and want to be an important part of our children's lives. It would be an added bonus if the candidate had a valid drivers licence and could do drop offs or pickups with our daughter. If you don't have a valid drivers licence, you must be willing to pick her up by bus if necessary. The person who applies needs to be honest, full of energy, respectful, resourceful and creative.
