The Real Life Mary Poppins. Hi there, I am an English girl that moved to Toronto a year and a half ago. I have a huge place in my heart for children and it is a career I feel passionate about. I take every opportunity in order to look after children. I grew up raising my brother who is 12 years younger than me and it has instilled a maternal instinct inside of me. I have experience teaching children from the ages of 6-16. I have volunteered at camps for children with disabilities and most recently I have been looking after 2 beautiful little girls coinciding with my regular job. I would love the opportunity to become a little part of your family. I lived in Uganda for 6 months in 2007 and taught children from the ages of 6 - 16. Teaching them Maths, English, Music and Physical Education. I have in the past volunteered with physically handicapped children at a summer camp, helping them with day to day tasks and activities. In my most recent job, as well as my day to day to day tasks, I was entrusted to look after and babysit the children when their parents were busy. They were 2yrs and 4yrs. I also helped to raise my younger brother who is 12 years younger than me.
