Nanny Job in Nelson, British Columbia

A close-nit family of four (dad and three lovely, independent kids) on the look out for a live-in nanny to start as soon as possible. The oldest is an intellectual and quiet 10year old boy and the youngest are outdoorsy 8year old twins. We're looking for someone to help out in the mornings from 6:30-8:30am and afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm, sometimes up to 5pm. We'll need you to get the kids up, make their packed lunches, do a bit of light housework e.g laundry, vacuum and also provide after school care e.g making snacks, playing ball and occasionally getting supper ready. Grandma and Papa also live close by and usually pop round each day providing a friendly face and a helping hand around the house. In return we'll provide you with a spacious 2-bed apartment separate from the main house (rent free and bills included), a vehicle if needed and a good wage with holiday pay. You'll typically have lots of free time during the day while the kids are at school and we’ll never ask you to work a weekend. Promise! We're aware that school will be out for summer come July so we will require more full time care during those weeks. That being said, we try to be very accommodating. Dad usually takes a few weeks off work where you won't be needed. Plus it's usually possible to arrange for someone to be home if you need an odd day off here and there over the summer weeks. We live about 10km outside of Nelson in beautiful Taghum where there's a great beach and you're only an 8minute drive from town.
