Nanny Job in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny to care for our two young children – a two-and-a-half-year-old girl and one-year-old boy. This can be a live in or live out position, but due to the hours, we thing live in would be more reasonable for you. Start date is September 2018. We are looking for a nanny with at least three years experience in nannying, child care or au pair work. You must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and well presented. You will be required to work flexible hours, as we travel and/or are oncall, with occasional evenings/weekends, but we can guarantee 40 hours per week at $XXX/hr as well as overtime if required. We are a non-smoking household and would prefer a non-smoker. Your responsibilities will include: • Preparing meals and snacks for the children and prepping dinner for the family • Putting the children down for naps • Changing diapers and clothing, as well as washing and drying clothes as required • Bathing the children • Playing with the kids and taking them for walks in the stroller • Reading to the children • Take the children to activities during the day, including library, music class, gross motor play at the park • Light cleaning and housekeeping • some shopping for groceries You will need a current First Aid certificate, criminal record and working with vulnerable sector check and a current NWT driver’s licence. A Certificate in Child Care will also be highly regarded, and bilingual French/English would be a big plus. In return, you will be well treated and will receive a good wage and meals, have full use of the house, and be treated as one of the family. You will also have your own private one bedroom suite, including bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
