In addition to a Child and Youth Worker diploma-level education and training in counseling, my more than 3 year history of hands-on experiences makes me an excellent match for the demands of this opportunity. I also have nine years experience working in a daycare with children from infant to fourteen. In each of my previous roles, I have helped children in cooperation with their guardians/parents and teachers to understand and overcome obstacles affecting their social, educational, and long-term achievement. My educational background has given me a solid understanding of children I programs especially behavioural children due to being a part of for the past 9 month a Day Treatment Center. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team my role as a Day Treatment Worker, I understand the importance planning activities, providing exceptional care, paying attention to each child’s daily routines. For instance, I work with clients on reviewing their daily Goal Plan – a reward chart that we use to break down their goals, as well as strategies for achieving them. This required excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem resolution, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing an outstanding customer service with ability to adapt and adjust to changing demands and priorities within the day. Furthermore, at my role, I also demonstrated leadership skills by taking the initiative of introducing new ideas and implementing. Even further, I am organized with a track record that demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
