Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

I am currently a student completing a Double DEC at John Abbott College. I will be attending McGill University in the Fall in Environmental Studies. I have lots of experience working with youth of all ages through babysitting, Girl Guides, Air Cadets and as a Swimming and Diving instructor. I am an outdoor enthusiast with bundles of energy. In winter, my hobbies include Winter Hiking and Biathlon. In summer, I enjoy camping, hiking and gliding. I am a familiarization glider pilot at Rideau Valley Soaring, ON. Throughout the school year, I volunteer with Girl Guides Canada. I was a junior leader for Brownies (girls aged 7-9) for 2 years, a Spark Leader for a year (4-6 years old) and am currently organizing my own Pathfinder unit (12-14 year olds). Previously I excelled in the Air Cadet Program where I learnt many valuable skills, notably in leadership. The highlights of my cadet career were definitely teaching and biathlon. I love sharing my knowledge and learning simultaneously. I taught classes to a group of 20 cadets ranging from 12 to 18 years old weekly and organized sports events for the entire squadron (120 cadets) approximately twice a year. In my last year, I was also responsible for the senior staff. I am looking to join a family this summer in Western Canada in order to be able to share my experiences and discover new regions. I love being around kids and am fond of physical activity and arts & crafts. I will do my upmost to ensure your child(ren) have a phenomenal summer! I am Scottish, though I have lived in England, Germany, France and now Canada. I enjoy travelling and learning about other people's cultures and ways of life. I have permission to study and work in Canada.
