Nanny in London, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Good Day I am presently an in home manager and caregiver for a home of eight with mental health illnesses. I run the entire home, the residents lives, appointments, prepare meals, clean, maintenance of the home, conduct monthly fire/safety/health audits, meet guidlines of a government funded program, undergo yearly inspections for fire safety devices/ministry of health, fire safety as well as inspections run by the government program that funds my home. Many other skills I utilize within the home. I am a twenty-four hour caregiver as well as manager. Meaning I am unable to leave the home during my five day work week. The owner of the home has minimal interaction with the home as well with me, trusting all I do, all decisions I make. Though she is a very supportive employer. As much as I love what I am doing, I feel isolated from life in the outside. It has been a year since I have been here. I have a high respect for the my employer/owner of the home, as well as my residents. It was under great consideration, that I have decided that it is hard to have a personal life as a live in manager/caregiver, unable to leave the home. With the above mentioning of my respect for my position, employer and residents, as well as my position is difficult to fill I am required to give a two months notice of resignation if possible. I have been working with people of numerous needs from physical to mental health. In addition I am a mother of a 22 year old daughter whom has a three and two year old girls and a new born boy. A 19 year old boy. I possess numerous certificates with Red Cross iin addition to my college education. I believe it is essential to exercise continuous education to grow as a human being and within the career of choice. My most memorable position was while in college when taking personal support worker, I was an Educational Childhood Assistant at a elementary school in a class room for special needs. I learned then that it is possible for us to learn things that we believe we are unable to do. I was not always successful at math. I taught my student math and she grasped it, as did I. My main experience is the elderly. A generation that deserves respect, appreciation and honor. In my early years I was a nanny for a family having responsibility of three little girls. Began when the first was born. I then faced high school graduation. I was not fully prepared to leave that position and other part time positions and volunteer positions with various ages and needs. I took a year off and continued the life I was enjoying. Many years have gone by and was approached two years ago by the oldest girl that remembered me and shared her memories, love and respect for me. Shortly after that I reunited with the mother. I now have been reassured the positive impact I had on their lives as a family and individuals. This has opened up my mind to turning back to that style of my career. As well last year I experienced for the first time going across Canada in honor of my father. I officially fell in love with Canada. I live in Ontario and willing to relocate. I poccess many persons in my life that support my excitement for a new road. I have attached my resume that is up to date, sharing the post secondary education I possess and continuous courses I have accumulated to broaden my knowledge of helping others and making a difference in other's lives, I, Kelly-Lynn is very confident in what I have done, what I do, what I am capable of doing, and what ever comes my way. I take pride in all I do for myself and others, even to the minimal job duties. My residents are a great supportive group, they are always gving positive feedback to owner, case workers, doctors, and other medical professionals. I am often given gifts with little notes how much I make a difference in their world. They have found a place in my heart, become a part of my family and interact with my family. This will be the hardest move I make when you decide I would benifit your world, your home and your family. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future to learn more about one another and the position offered. I wish all of you's great success, great health and an abundance of happiness and happy memories within your family. Kelly-Lynn Lustig
