Nanny Job in Leduc, Alberta

I'm an
Individual
We are a foster family and adoptive family. We have twins that are 14, a 13 yo and 9 yo. We have a dog and 2 cats. Currently we have a foster baby who is 6 months old. We need someone fun, reliable, willing to learn new needs of our fosters, can take on 13 year old attitude, willing to do overnights, have their own vehicle and willing to drive to Leduc. There might be some light house keeping, but the kids have their chores. Some light cooking but I try to have most things planned or ready to go. Typically, there would only be 4 kids maybe 5. But 2 of those are teenagers. They are self sifficient with at least one needing direction and boundaries. We are a fun family who do lots of stuff together. We tease as much as we love. My dad said I'm going to pay for that lol We have a newly renovated room with a bed for our respite provider if the right person leads into overnights. Which we really hope to have. My husband and I have a strong relationship, been married a long time, but we do ensure we have our time together to keep that relationship strong. I'm not going to lie...our just turned 13 year old (FASD) is really throwing us for a loop. We have no idea what's up here. But he has been exhausting, it's so wierd! Lol All of our kids are adopted and have prenatal exposure. Our one 14 year old is high functioning, very responsible and helpful. Our 9 year old is drug exposed, CAN have wild cat tantrums but thankfully not frequent. She's your typical 'going on 16' kind of girl. She's so much fun and loves make up, purses, and Taylor Swift. We are just a family and I don't work outside the home. Our hourly starts at $20 and overnights at $125-150 flat rate. New Year's Eve would be double. It's entirely possible New Year's Eve might be in a hotel room where you would take them swimming, lounge to eat, watch movies and maybe even room service for midnight snacks. We would come up to the room and relieve you soon after midnight. This would be in West Edmonton Unlike years ago when posting here, this is not truly a hard job and in fact, would like someone who would be willing to become a part of our family. Consistency of care is very important. We have been so lucky to have the same respite girl for about 8 years. She's amazing and expecting her own baby now. We are really sad to be losing her as our primary respite, but it's understandable of course :) Having said that, we prefer someone who does not have young kids or babies at home. I could not possibly take you away from your children to be with mine. We may not have set hours, but we can keep you busy with your availability. That would not be fair to your own littles :) You MUST have valid DL and vehicle MUST be willing to travel to Leduc, year round MUST have CPR and FIRST maintained MUST be reliable MUST have a decent availability for some weekends. MUST have Criminal Records check. MUST be willing to learn care..ie Giving meds etc We foster medical babies. There may be feeding tube or HIV exposed babies. It's not scary. Just education is all that is needed :) Experience and tricks up your sleeve would be helpful and welcome lol
