Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I hope to hear from you soon, Naomi I worked in a daycare for two years. Spending a lot of my time floating between the rooms. The youngest age I worked worked with was five months going right up to 12 years. I spend a good bit of time in each room therefore got to know each age group well. In the baby room which was 6 weeks to 18 months the ratio was 1 adult to 3 children. The tiny tots room was 18 months to 2 years and the ratio was 1 adult to 3 children. The toddler were 2 years old and the ratio was 1 adult to 4 children. The pre-school room was 3 to 4 year old and the ration was 1 adult to 6 children. The after-school room was 4 years to 12 years. My roles ranged from feeding, changing nappies, potty training, washroom duties, reading stories, planning and carrying out activities. My role also included keeping parents up to date and aware of how there child gets on. I have one month supervisory experience in the toddler room, my role involved filling out daily record sheets, filling out weekly and monthly planners.
