To whom it may concern: As a Teacher Education Candidate currently finishing my first year at the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty of Education, I am presently seeking part/full-time employment beginning in April and continuing through the summer. I have completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph in the Child, Youth and Family program, and graduated with distinction in April 2016. I then took a year off of school to work as a full time nanny in Guelph for a family with one-year old twin boys. I am now pursuing my dream of becoming a Primary/Junior teacher. Should you choose to offer me an employment position, you will find that I am an honest, responsible, and mature individual who is quick to learn and happy to work hard. I work well with others and independently. I am skilled in the areas of public relations, planning and organizing events, working with children, and working with a team. I spent the 4 years of my Undergrad babysitting/nannying for multiple families in Guelph on a daily basis and volunteering with Active Start - a program designed to teach children with disabilities various sports. I love working with people and building friendships with those I work with. I understand that filling a nanny position requires making a commitment to be punctual and reliable. I am also a fast learner and am willing to be trained as required.
