Nanny Job in Thornhill, Ontario

We are seeking a wonderful nanny to care for our two children. We have a daughter who is 3 years old and will be in full-time school in September, and an infant son who is 8 months old. We are located in Thornhill, Vaughan near Bathurst St. and Centre St. We are accessible by public transportation, close to malls and lots of outdoor parks. Our ideal candidate will be flexible and organized, be able to take initiative, have good judgement and interpersonal skills, and be reliable and trustworthy. Our future nanny should hold a high school certification and have more than 1 year experience. This position is being offered as a permanent, full-time position. Care for the children will be located in our home, a private residence. Live-in or live-out is the choice of the successful candidate, live-in is NOT a requirement for the job but is available if needed. Being able to speak and read in English is a language requirement. The nanny will be responsible for light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, meal preparation, and weight handling up to 30 lbs (13.5 Kg). Duties will include diapering and bottle feeding of the infant, bathing and dressing the children, preparing the infant for naps and periods of rest, feeding the children nutritious meals, toileting, and pick-up/drop-off. The nanny will be able to organize outings and activities, discipline in accordance with the parents, supervise and care for the children, provide outside and inside activities. The nanny will look after the emotional well-being of the children and maintain a healthy and safe environment, as well as assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents.
