Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Nanny required for part-time position in Vancouver. Nanny will be primarily taking care of our now 9 month old son (will be 1 year old by the time the position is required to be filled). We also have a 4 year old daughter that attends half day preschool and is looked after by grandparents. In the event she is sick and cannot attend preschool, or if her grandparents are sick/on vacation and can\'t tend to her, then we will require the nanny to look after both kids. Your responsibilities with our son would be feeding him breakfast, lunch and possibly dinner; feeding him milk; playing with him at home; putting him down for one/two naps, reading to him; taking him to the library and/or community centre classes; taking him to the park/playing outside. Other duties including light cleaning (i.e. cleaning up after his meals and putting dishes in the dishwasher, sweeping up dirt/bits that he may put in his mouth, tidying up his toys), occasional laundry, meal preparation for our son as well as our family dinner. If our daughter is home, we would require meal preparation for her, playing with her, and putting her down for a nap. Would prefer nanny to have at least 2 years of experience, fluent in English. CPR/First Aid/Criminal record check is a must. Ability to converse in Cantonese is desired but not mandatory. We are looking for someone who is caring, motherly, attentive and believes in interacting with kids (i.e. limited TV, no cell phone/texting), warm and fun. Currently looking for M-W-F from 8am to 5:30 or 6pm. $15/hr for the one son, extra compensation negotiable for looking after both children. Overtime pay will be provided. I will be returning to work in the beginning of October, 2015. Looking for someone to start in September to transition. Start date in September is flexible but would prefer later in September.
