Employers: Bradley and April Slessor Employers’ address: 70 Chapala Road SE, Calgary, AB, T2X 3V6 Work Location: same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Take children to and from school and to appointments • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants • Prepare infants and child for rest periods • Tend to emotional wellbeing of children • Supervise and care for children • Organize and generally participate in family life • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children; do and create crafts with children • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Bathe, dress and feed infants and child • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens • Shop for food and household supplies Requirements: -Education: Completion of secondary school is required -Experience: At least a year of full-time experience as a caregiver is required -Criminal record check is an asset -First aid certificate is an asset Salary: $12.50 to $14.50 hourly, 44 Hours per week Important Information: - The nanny will be responsible for the care of 2 children who are 2 and 4 years old. The caregiver will also be responsible for the care of a baby who will be born in November 2016. - Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts: 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
