Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Timeline This position is available part time immediately and will become full time at the beginning of October Summary Looking for a full-time nanny to provide care for our daughter (Charlotte - 15 months) and perform all tasks that correlate to her care. To create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which she can thrive and develop. In addition, perform light housework duties and meal preparation during nap/quiet time. Main Childcare Tasks and Responsibilities - implementing consistent daily schedule/routine - planning, preparing and supervising meals and snacks (focus on healthy eating, minimal snacking) - cleaning and washing up after meals - changing diapers, bathing, dressing - scheduling and coordinating activities, outings and play dates - attending and participating in community center classes - undertaking appropriate creative, educational and outdoor activities (including sports, reading, baking, playdough, crafts etc.) - planning and supervising nap and bedtime - reinforcing an appropriate behavior strategy as discussed with parents (focus on good behavior and manners) - Assist in educating kids in everyday tasks (clean up, wash hands, tie shoes, potty training, tell time etc.) Main Housekeeping Tasks and Responsibilities - general housekeeping - laundry and ironing - occasional errands and grocery shopping - some meal preparation Key Competencies - love of children - understands and respects child rearing beliefs and values - calm and patient - responsible and punctual - flexible - available for occasional evening and weekend work - ability to multitask - good communication skills - good decision-making ability - can handle an emergency - planning and organizing skills ; high energy level Requirements - Willing to obtain police and background check - Non smoker - Legally entitled to work in Canada Hours Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm Salary $500 net a week plus metro pass and two weeks of vacation/sick pay
