My name is Shawny and I have had many years of experience raising my children as well as caring for my youngest grandson on a regular basis for over 9 years. I would bring to the job a warm, caring, genuine person who loves working with children. I do have a Diploma in Social work and worked for many years as a Child/Youth Counsellor, for Social, with students experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. I believe small children thrive in a structured environment which encourages growth and advancement to meet attainable goals for their age group. I am available to work immediately on a part time or occasional basis and am willing to watch your children when given short notice of you needing a sitter. I am friendly, courteous and extremely patient with children and would be a welcome asset to your home. I believe I can meet or exceed all expectations of me and you would be worry free knowing your child/children are in very capable hands. Also I will do light housekeeping, laundry, dishes and keep your home immaculate while still being able to care for your child/children. I am a young grandmother who has raised to adult children and cared for my youngest grandson on a regular basis for the past 9 years. I would bring to the job a fun experience for the child/children, read stories, play games, going for walks and be extremely attentive to the child\'s needs. If a situation should arise where I have to discipline a child I would follow the parents directions in this area, however I don\'t see this as being a problem as I have found that most young children easily gravitate to a warm and caring person who makes them feel comfortable and happy. I possess excellent communication skills and am ready to work immediately. I would prefer to work part time but will work on an occasional basis or even full time under the right circumstances. As a nanny I do prefer to live out as I have obligations at home. As well I am available on short notice and am ready to help you out whenever I can.
