My name is Melissa and I have known since I was 15 years old that my career choice would involve children. I have 11 years experience caring for children, and I still love seeing the world through their eyes and enjoying the little things.
At the age of 12 I took a babysitting course and began babysitting for families in my area. When I was 16 I took a high school co-op course and worked in a literacy classroom and kindergarten classroom in an elementary school.
When I graduated high school I took Sheridan College's Early Childhood Education program and graduated April 2009. In the past three years I have had experience with all ages from infant up to age 12, and am currently working with the YMCA's Before and After School program.
