Nanny in North Vancouver, British Columbia

My name is Karen, I am 29 years old living in North Vancouver. I am looking for a Nanny position starting in September. The family I’m currently working for is expecting a baby and won’t need me as they will be on maternity leave. Last summer I worked as an ESL teacher at ELS Vancouver summer camp with a group of international high school students. I have taught English full time at a private school in France for the past 3.5 years. My classes ranged in ages from 3 to 15 year olds. I have over 1000 teaching hours in my classrooms. I also have experience living 1 year as an Au pair (live in Nanny) for a family in France with 4 children ages 10 to 17. Before that I was a live in Au Pair for a family in Milan Italy for 8 months. The children were aged 6 and 8. My duties there included tutoring the children, transportation, meals, and light housework. I am a happy, creative and caring person. I have a BA from Ryerson in Theatre Production. My main focus was in costume studies. I have worked in the wardrobe department at the National Ballet School of Canada, with children from grades 3 to 12. I have also worked with children at a drama camp for 2 years at Storry book gardens in London Ontario. I love teaching children and adding my own creativity to make homework a fun process. My favourite moments were organizing crafts or reading a good book. I often find myself having fun while I am working which keeps me and the children enthusiastic. I am also able to do light housework and cooking as may be needed. I can also begin teaching french to your child if this is something you would like. Hope to hear from you soon!
