My name is Julie. I live in Victoria with my husband and our two dogs. I am a trained portrait photographer with a passion for children and newborn photography. I love incorporating my two loves, as taking care of children has always been something that brings me joy. I have always seen nannying and sitting other families children as a unique and special experience. No job gives me more of a sense of fulfillment and happiness, despite earaches and upset tummies. I have very scarcely done one off sitting jobs, and would rather stay away from these sorts of occupations. Instead I prefer to build a relationship with my client and their family, building a trusting bond. I truly feel that the children I take care of have a special place in my world and I in theirs. The family I hope to find will appreciate this same sort of friendship, along with the skills and talents that I have to offer for this role in their home. I hope we can meet soon. I have been a sitter since I was young, involving mostly young families of mixed gender and age. I nannied a particular family of four girls, all two years apart, for 5 years on and off as fit their needs. In all of my sitting and nannying work I remain engaged and busy. I find that the time after a child is put down for a nap or bed is an excellent time to do any cleaning or tidying up that could be done within my permitted limits. This has been a bonus my clients have always appreciated, as I charge no extra cost for it. The majority of my duties in past jobs have been general care and entertainment, meals made and lunches packed, homework and reading done, visits to parks and play groups, walks to and from school as well as car rides, and overnight sitting as required.
