My name is Hillary, I absolutely adore working with children and as weird as it sounds for someone so young, when I hear a child cry or scream it doesn\'t annoy me I instead would prefer to help the child. I have taken many classes/courses in school related to children, their development and their needs; some of these would include Working with School Aged Children and Adolescents, Families and Children in a Diverse Canadian Society, Family Studies&Home Economics, I have also earned a level C Standard CPR Certification approved by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as well as the standard Workplace Hazardous Material Information System in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Both my mother and sister worked as Nannies for multiple years, my mother having the most experience. I grew up being best-friends with the children that my mother cared for and have expressed an interest in working with children since as early as I can remember. I have babysat and cared for children overnight and have experience working with children whom require special needs. I am very comfortable with pets and animals as I own many myself. Cooking is one of my many hobbies (Brunch being my favourite meal of the day), I have very high energy and love to keep up with kids, I am a very creative person so I would enjoy doing crafts and activities that encourage kids to use their imagination. My first \"official\" babysitting job was caring for my mom\'s coworker\'s children (Ages 5-7) one of whom was hearing impaired in both ears and required hearing aids and special care for when going to sleep. I have cared for my cousin Danielle throughout her life from when she was a one-year old to now at age 9. I have experience changing diapers, preparing food, bathing, cleaning up after and organizing fun activities for small and large groups of children. Last year I was a Camp Leader at Camp Olympia Sports Camp, I auditioned to become a Camp Olympia Senior Leader through my school and was one of the 20 females selected to become Senior Leaders on a trip to Camp Olympia. As a leader I stayed in a cabin with 5 grade 10 students for the duration of 4 days and 4 nights and lead them throughout the trip with the help of another junior leader, participating in group activities and ensuring that my campers behaved. The teacher who organized the trip trusted me with the so-called \"troubled\" girls cabin but from my experience they all behaved like little angels and came back from the trip saying we were the best Camp Leaders ever.
