Nanny in Montreal, Quebec

Dear families, Since I was about 13 years old I enjoyed babysitting. At that time I took care of a 6- & 9-year old in the evenings. When I was 14 my much younger half-brother was born, so I naturally learned how to take care of small children and babies. This experience and my passion for babysitting increased when my two half-sisters were born the following years. As the youngest was born I didn't just take care of my 4-year old brother and 2-year old sister, I also did the housekeeping for a whole month which taught me a lot of patience, multi-tasking and offered me a great time with my little siblings. During the years I volunteered as a tutor for migrant children and refugees; in a youth political group which represented children's and youth's rights and their wishes and organized projects; for my hometown hospital's visitor service for lonely patients; as a teacher for a township children school in South Africa. I learned to adapt to different cultures, social situations and how to work with children and adults of different age groups, nationalities and circumstances. After my 12 year education which gives me admission to University I travelled in South Africa and North America, that is when I met my boyfriend in Montréal. I would love to work with children in Montréal as I have already been to the city and love Canada in general. I also hope to improve my (basic-intermediate) French here. Both my German and English are fluent. In general I am a very joyous, patient and active person with a great passion for children and humans of each age. I am hoping very much to find me a nice family whom I can help in their needs!
