Nanny in Saint John, New Brunswick

March 27, 2013 To whom it may concern, What a find Glenn Scott has been for our family. It is rare to find someone with his skills in a small center like Saint John. I have two sons on the autism spectrum and so I know a gifted and skilled autism support worker when I see one. Glenn has the background and experience necessary to meet the challenges that come when working effectively with a child that has behavioral issues and communication barriers. More important to us, he has the heart for it. I tease Glenn and call him the autism whisperer. He has been working with our son Ted for about 6 months now. Ted loves him and trusts him. Glenn asks Ted to communicate in ways I was too tentative to ask. Ted is signing YES, and MORE without prompting. Glenn has a spirit that expects Ted to understand, and Ted picks up on it. I have even seen a look from Ted that I have never seen before. Glenn has been helping Ted with his toilet skills, his communication board and making choices with toys, turn taking, self dressing and social skills like waving “hi” and “bye”. I highly recommend Glenn to anyone looking for support for a family member with special needs. Glenn is an especially gifted individual with a great deal of experience and success.
