Nanny Job in Edmonton, Alberta

Our kids are so great - fun, creative, smart, and most importantly - respectful. We are looking for someone who will be a good fit with our home and help us out as both my husband and I work. We've been so fortunate to have had other nannies be a part of our family over the years - and they've been lovely, kind, smart and a joy in our household. They've contributed to the amazing kids we have today - their love of music, languages, playing cards, magic tricks, cleaning... you name it. It's been pretty neat as the world our kids live in is so big because of our previous nannies. We still keep in touch with our previous nannies - in fact, you'll see them at our house from time-to-time for dinner or to just say 'hi'. To me, this is a sign of who we are and the mutual care between ourselves and those who have worked for us. With school happening at home by the parents, I am struggling to be it all for my kids. I know this is a transition for everyone and I am confident God will provide a perfect fit. We've been blessed over-and-over with fantastic people! We are searching for someone to help us in our home several mornings each week with the education part of their day. We have 3 children (ages 9, 8 and 6) who love to play, do crafts, explore, play piano and guitar... they just love to be doing. They are so creative and have a fun sense of humour too. These kids also speak some Spanish and are learning French in school. With French Immersion classes, a fluency in French would be preferred. We believe less screen time is better so the applicant should be willing to organize activities, outings and games. We have 2 particularly furry dogs who sleep a lot and snore like an old man. They are like furry cartoon characters in our house. Our perfect person would be comfortable with dogs as these 2 are a part of our family. Duties include: Supervise and care for children Organize activities such as games, outings for children Help children with their homework and overall education Asking kids to practice their piano and guitar (don't worry - you don't need to know how to play) Maintain a healthy and safe environment in the home Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents Requirements Include CPR and First Aid Training would be nice English written and oral communication Education degree or working on their Education Degree French fluency Our hours will be steady/consistent but with some flexibility if and when needed. . (for instance during mid-term exams or vacation).... we just ask for notice so we can plan our lives to accommodate. We live in SW Edmonton (Ambleside/Windermere). This would be a live-out position. We have had the pleasure of helping several people receive their Permanent Resident but in this case, we are looking for someone who can help us without additional LMIA paperwork.
